Kingsoft WPS OfficeInvented in 1998 as China’s first word processor software, Kingsoft WPS Office soon took more than 95% of the market. With a very strong brand recognition in China, WPS Office has been undoubtedly one of the most successful domestic software products. It received second place in “China’s Technology Progress Award” in 2000.After three years of Research and Development, Kingsoft released WPS Office 2005 in September 2005 which was entirely rebuilt on a new code-base, and was enlisted into the “Hi-Tech Research and Development Program of China”. In March 2006, according to the latest survey reported by Computer Magazine, WPS office has became the best seller in domestic office software with a market share of 20.22%. Kingsoft WPS Division is aggressively expanding overseas. The English and Japanese versions of WPS Office are currently available in the market.
